The official passing of the Local Colors baton today – Beth Lutjen was introduced as Jefferson Center as the new executive director for Local Colors – the non-profit that celebrates Roanoke’s diversity. Lutjen succeeds the retiring Pearl Fu. Taylor Willis was named the director of marketing and education. Fu will stay on as a consultant through the end of year … the one-day Local Colors celebration every May is the organization’s primary focus. Lutgen spoke with WFIR’s Gene Marrano:
