The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs are 3-3 on the season after a pair of wins at home last weekend. They play at the Berglund Center tonight against the SPHL’s top team right now – the Macon Mayhem. After tonight’s game the Rail Yard Dawgs are in Fayetteville tomorrow night. Hear from Dawgs head coach Dan Bremner on the link below:

Low-interest loans are now being offered in some localities that were impacted by Tropical Storm Michael last month. One of those places is the Roanoke Valley. Between today and next Tuesday – except for Sunday – the City of Salem Disaster Loan Outreach Center at 216 South Broad Street will answer questions about those loans. That’s the Salem Fire-EMS station. Sandra Lawson is with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Assistance. She says loan interest rates are as low as 2 percent and for terms as long as 30 years – in amounts up to $200,000.

Shawn Hunter

Peacemakers founder Shawn Hunter says he will file a complaint against the Bedford police department and its handling of an alleged stalking case – after Hunter had a complaint filed against HIM by a woman who claims he stalked her in a WalMart parking lot. Hunter told WFIR last week he is innocent of the charge and says he has a video proving that. He plans to release it this week when he will also hold a press conference. Hunter was previously acquitted of charges related to an intimate photo sent to a Roanoke Time reporter, he said in error.
