Doctoral student student John Aigner says they enlisted “citizen scientists” to test the traps in their homes. He says the tests found that a homemade trap using a disposable roasting pan, a desk lamp and some dishsoap worked much better than commercial stink bug traps that cost up to $50.  Aigner has posted a brief video showing how to make the trap.
