Healthy Babies programA program called “Healthy Babies Are Worth the Wait” from the March of Dimes saluted Lewis Gale Medical Center today for its efforts to reduce medically unnecessary deliveries before 39 weeks of gestation.  A spokesman on hand for the Virginia Health Care Association said the rate of inductions before 39 weeks where not medically necessary is around 2 percent statewide … and has been falling. Steve Jamison is past chairman for the Blue Ridge March of Dimes … he delivered a healthy babies banner to Lewis Gale to say thanks … he also spoke to WFIR’s Gene Marrano:
