Roanoke police seek barber shop bandit

Roanoke-PoliceFrom Roanoke City Police: On August 29, 2014 at 11:46 a.m. Roanoke Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Peters Creek Road NW, the Boxley Hills Barber Shop, to investigate a robbery. The victim, the owner of the barber shop, said the suspect walked into the business, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the business on foot. The suspect was described as a black male in his early to mid 20s, thin build, approximately 5’9″, with short hair and facial hair only on his chin. The suspect was wearing a black tee shirt , khaki colored pants, and blue sneakers with an orange color around the soles. Tips are anonymous and awards are offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
