A Virginia-based electric utility has announced plans to partner with a Denmark company to build two wind turbines off the coast of Virginia Beach. Dominion Energy says the turbines will go up about 27 miles offshore on a site leased by the state, and they will provide useful experience that could lead to larger-scale offshore wind farm development.
