The 95 new Dynax America jobs coming to Botetourt County are certainly welcome, but the county is taking additional steps in efforts to attract still more new business. Details from News/Talk 960’s Evan Jones.

It’s a term you may not have heard before: “pad-ready” — preparing an industrial site in advance in hopes of attracting a new business. It involves things like grading the earth and putting in utilities. Just this week, Botetourt Supervisors approved spending $275,000 to create a pad-ready site. County officials say it’s money likely to more than pay for itself down the line. Work to prepare this pad-ready site will begin next month and should be completed by June.
