Liberty Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing traffic during the listed work hours on Sunday and Monday. An additional work day is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. if necessary.

This work is weather and temperature dependent. Daytime closures are needed due to the temperature requirements of the concrete used to complete the repairs. Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route and avoid this portion of southbound I-581 while the repairs are taking place. Anyone traveling on southbound I-581 should expect delays. Message boards will be in place notifying drivers of the lane closures. For updates, visit www.511Virginia.org .
