Dorothy McAuliffe
A number of programs will provide summer meals to children that rely on free and reduced-priced lunches during the school year – including the Roanoke Library-YMCA “Feed and Read” program and meals provided by Feeding America Southwest Virginia. First Lady of Virginia Dorothy McAuliffe is a driving force behind the “No Kid Hungry” initiative. She was promoting the “Southwest Virginia Summer Meals Kickoff Day” this morning – speaking live on WFIR.
